Firefly Coven of the Spiral Moon

If you wish to become a member of the Firefly Coven of the Spiral Moon...

• You must have dedicated yourself to the Coven of the Spiral Moon.
  
• Complete the required coursework:
  • Wicca 1, Paganism 1, or World Religions 1 Class
  • Dedication to studying with the FCSM
  • Wicca 2, Paganism 2, or World Religions 2 Class
  • Wicca 3, Paganism 3, or World Religions 3 Class
  • Tools Class
  • Any two courses on divination
  • Any one course on advanced divination (having a prerequisite)
  • Three elective courses
  • Independent study on approved topic
  • Five-hundred word paper on one chosen divination technique
  • Subsitutions are possible on a case by case basis.
• Work to fulfill The Firefly House core values:
• Community
• Upholding a positive image for Paganism and Wicca within the community. In other words, publicly acting in a manner that does not give the public a negative image of Paganism and Wicca.
• Following the coven's code of conduct.
• Environment
• Participate in one environmental stewardship project each year, be it the addition of recycling at home or in the office, making one's home green, supporting alternative energy, volunteering to clean up the local watershed or park, etc.
• Must be separate from 5 required Service hours.
• Education
• Required reading of three books each year, one being from the dedicant reading list.
• Book topics can range from anything Craft, Wicca, or Paganism related, to any other topic applicable to one's spirituality, such as topics in science, nature, gardening, other religions, leadership, counseling, and others.
• Required posting in dedicant forum a summary of each of these three books.
• Spirituality
• Suggested daily meditation of ten minutes.
• Required attendance at 4 of 8 public sabbat rituals each year.
• Service
• Required 5 hours of community service each year.
